Gelegenheiten (opportunities)
Ruey De Vera, one of my mentors in college, once told me that I wrote quite seriously as a student journalist (quipping as well that I could probably never tell a joke to save my life, haha). Well... it's funny that I should now be employed in a business magazine, which is probably the most serious branch of the media industry as a whole. And the most recent development in this favor?
Financial and Economic Reporting: a 2-month scholarship program sponsored by the International Institute of Journalism (IIJ) of InWEnt, Federal Republic of Germany. All-expenses paid.
Ach. Mein. Gott. I actually got in. I'm actually qualified.
I'm shell-shocked. I'll miss my hubby. My dad. My brother. My cat. My friends. My birthday, for crying out loud. And I'll be taking a road I never thought I'd take, but seem destined to journey through anyway.
WOW. What a change. What a welcome change, might I add. ^_^
Berlin, hier komme ich. ROFL.
