Alls well that ends well

I only have a few things to say about last night: when your friends truly care about you, it comes out, and arguments can really be resolved in a good way. All parties can leave feeling like every side was not only aired out, but ironed out as well. I now have an even higher respect for all the people who were there in that meeting, and although I was worried at the start, it really, honestly ended in the best way that it could: with a new beginning. :)

However, listening intently at the conversation yesterday, I realized that there were a lot of people mentioned, behind the scenes, who were not real friends. Backstabbers, so to speak. So that's why, whenever those people "met" and "talked things out", nothing ever got resolved--because ultimately, those people were only looking out for themselves, their own glory, and could do nothing else but wish ill upon the other party. When faced with those people, it's better to just cut your losses. They aren't worth the trust that you gave them in the first place.

On the other hand, it's so rare to find people who sincerely love and care about you, and would take the time out to talk to you just to drive home a point. No hidden agendas, no malice. Those are the types that would last a life time. :) And I know that those who were there were definitely of that type.

It was a humbling experience for all of us. A lot of lessons were learned. And the best of all? The friendship remained, probably stronger now than it was just a few hours back.

Can I focus on my work now? LOL. *sighs contentedly*
