Happy Birthday!
I had the best birthday (Nov.02) this year!
Well, it generally started out as a bad day, what with me going over to lola's house and all. How should I have known that she'd go trash talking on my birthday? Daddy was right: she really loves spoiling days like these.
But my hubby made it all better when we saw each other later on that afternoon. He decided to invite Mayang and company for an impromptu dinner for me--and that really made my day! :) Of course, we almost regretted that plan when we felt too lazy to get off our butts while watching 24 in his mom's room, but thank God the evening went really well.
Kathe and Ren arrived just shortly after we did, so we ate ahead. :) Well, Mayang and the rest were taking kind of long, so we couldn't help but address our hunger. :p Later on we fund out why Mayang had taken as long as she did: she had to pick up Lala from Galle. :) So there we were: Carlo, me, Kathe, Ren, Mayang, Allan, Lala, and Ejnar--for the first time a complete set!! :) The boys thoroughly enjoyed each other's company too, so it was like a nice big group sort of thing... no awkwardness whatsoever. :)
We all went to 129 Square afterwards, and while the boys busied themselves with their own respective games, we girls decided to move to someplace quieter. We went over to Eastwood to buy some coffee. I fell asleep, though, as soon as I got seated in Cofee Bean and Tea Leaf--I was just so exhausted! We went back to 129 an hour later, and decided to call it a night. :)
With Carlo giving me a massage, albeit a short one, when I got home, this evening was just one of the best I've ever had.
My hubby capped off the day with a text message that simply took my breath away and moved me to tears:
"With every year that passes you by, i keep thinking of ways to show u how much you mean to me. A dinner, a surprise party, a cat, flowers, jewelry, and everything else. The best birthday gift i offer is one that i give every year... A promise to care for j00 and comfort j00.. my promise o never stop loving j00. :) happy bday michie :)"
Nothing could have made me happier... *wide smile*
