Soft Opening
After all those meetings, construction work, spending, and blood and sweat... 129 Square Internet Cafe has finally opened for the public! Albeit not totally finished yet, what with the glitches still present, it's looking pretty good. :)
Today was the soft opening of the internet cafe. I was so proud of Carlo and his friends... things are really looking good for them and for this place! A lot of people came over for the free games, even if there was no internet connection yet. There was a really cool and delicious dinner that came along with the evening too. :p (Killer hotdogs!!) For the most part, the evening seemed like a really comfy party, and everyone was impressed with the ambience, the aircon (haha!)~the over-all look of the internet cafe, which is so unlike every other internet cafe in the area.
129 Square is going to be a big hit... I can just see it already! :)
The best part was how happy Carlo seemed tonight. It seemed like, for one night, he was actually relaxed and smiling. A lot of hugs and kisses too... that's when I could tell that his mood was better than it's been eversince this business started.
Daddy was sooo cute tonight too. He was trying to make sense of the only game on the computer: DotA! He finally gave up after realizing that, no matter how much he presses the mouse butttons, he'd never get the game. :p It was Freecell for him the rest of the night! :D He's excited for the place, as much as every other parent was... it was so nice to see how impressed he was.
As for me, I was just lounging aroung, cuddling Carlo whenever I could, and getting to know a lot of people. :) I'm tired as hell, but I'm really happy for all of them... This was their dream! Just a few more hurdles to climb over, and it's smooth sailing for them...
