Happy Valentine's Day!

To Carlo, Happy Valentines Day, baby! You know everything I have to say. We tell each other the words every single day, and we show each other what they mean every second we're together. *Hug* You will always be the sweetest, most gentle and caring person I've ever known. Five years of ups, downs, and everything in between, yet I still get that warm and fuzzy feeling whenever when I think of you on this day. I love you so much.

To all the love birds out there, keep it warm. And to all the single hopefuls around, may you still have a lovely day (now that's cheesy) in spite of the heavy traffic tonight and the sometimes uber-mushy expressions of love going on around you.

One of my best friends laughed when I told her that Carlo and I weren't going out tonight, since we stopped going out around the second Valentines Day of our relationship. She took it to mean we've become boring and stopped caring about those dates, but I tell you--Valentines isn't so much fun when you miss your reservation because of bumper-to-bumper traffic along EDSA going to Makati. So all it really means is we've had to think of more ways to celebrate this day.

Here are a few suggestions for the lovebirds:

1. Whip up a private dinner at home (saves more money too, especially since parking is free ;p)
2. Drop by his or her house for a surprise breakfast in bed (pun intended, but I actually do really mean bring him or her some food ;p)
3. Or you could drop by his or her office for a surprise lunch, same thing
4. And if you really want to go out, pick some place that isn't in Makati, Libis, or Ortigas. Haha! Anyway, I hear there's a concert going on in UP tonight at the Sunken Garden. No reservations needed.
5. Worse comes to worst, you could always postpone your celebration to tomorrow. It's pay day, anyway, which could be a ton more fun than today if you don't have much money for a date. Less traffic too.
6. Lastly, you could do all of the above if you want to. We have, at some point.

And for the singles? The best thing for me still is going out with the other singles in the barkada. One time, me and my girls from high school went out to watch a concert in CCP. I forget exactly who was singing, but we had so much fun biking outside and relaxing on the grass when we liked the songs--it made Valentines just as special. A free concert, and a very much bonded evening. What more could we ask for?

I wonder if my boss will be in good spirits today. All he told us was that he has his Enervon vitamins ready. @_@
