My farewell letter

(Posted Dec. 8, 2006, backdated for convenience)

In the absence of words to make a full entry, I am reposting my farewell letter to my dear colleagues and second family for two months. My InWEnt family: Cui, Ling, FM, Sylvia, Dev, Ravi, Daddy Nana, Walter, Ate Ari, Joice, Mr. Binh, Chu, Khan and Femi. I will miss you all, but the world has become smaller and we will definitely see each other again someday...in Bali! :D

I will never forget the 60 days we spent together. Thank you all for validating me and showing me that true friendship can exist beyond borders. If ever any of you come to Manila, just give me a call. :D

This was the best trip of my life.

Dear colleagues,

Finally the eight weeks have come to an end! Tomorrow, most of us leave for our respective countries. It may be a long time before we see each other again, but I'm sure that we will--the world is getting smaller anyway. :p

Thank you so much everyone for being my second family here in Berlin. I thought I'd have a very hard time being away from home because I'm the kind of person who is very much attached to my family and frineds in the Philippines. But being with each and everyone of you made this trip more than just easy for me. I had a very good time with all of you.

Work-wise, the environment was non-competitive, allowing me to concentrate on proving my skills and really learning from everyone else. There was no such occasion of hostility and jealousy, and this was really something I found very unique and memorable.
There was no tension--again something new to me, as in my country, tension and hostility almost inevitably arise in the work place. I learned so much from all of you, and everyday we were in class, I felt like I was among the company of friends, not just working colleagues.
:)

And the off-work times were the best for me. When Dev asked me which part of Berlin I loved the best, it was definitely getting to know all of you. I never thought I could meet such wonderful people from all over the world! I couldn't help but cry this morning because I will definitely miss all of you so much. :'(

Let's all keep in touch! Thank you all so much for a very memorable two months. I've learned so much from all of you.

Love you all,
Mich baby

P.S. Daddy Nana and Walter thank you both SO much for feeding me every single night! I gained 5 kilos because of both of you! Hahahaha! Sylvia and FM, thanks for always making me laugh! I really enjoyed our dinners together!!!! Thank you!!!
